Protocol Technologies, Inc.for DNP 3.0 is a serial port-based, 32-bit Windows application used for protocol emulation. Its prime use as a protocol emulator is to support the installation, test and maintenance of SCADA products. Features include hot buttons for fast access to most frequently used features and Master and Slave simulation. The software uses a desktop or laptop PC serial port to communicate to RTUs, IEDs, or Master Stations. No hardware is needed other than serial cables.
