Caterpillar introduces its G3516C gaseous-fueled continuous duty package generator sets, featuring a Gas Engine Control Module that enables engine control from one source.

An extension of the Cat G3500C family of low-emissions generator sets, the 60 Hz/1800 rpm G3516C Series provides a 1600 kW electrical rating with fan and improved fuel economy while meeting NOx emission levels of 1.0 or 0.5 g/bhp-hr. Its open-chamber engine design operates on a low-pressure gaseous fuel system (0.5 to 5 psi / 35 to 350 mb pressure) designed to provide maximum annual operating hours and continuous power quality.

The Cat G3516C has a high power density platform, with a specially designed, two-stage, high-volume air intake system that enables efficient airflow and minimizes charge air heating. It is compatible with a broad range of SR4B generators and generator attachments, allowing for configuration to suit specific customer applications.
