Power Generation - Diesel Generator Set 320-550kW Powered By The Cat C15
A new diesel-fueled generator set with ACERT Technology was introduced. The rating ranges for this new package include 350 – 550 ekW (Standby) and 320 – 455 ekW (Prime) in a 60 Hz model, and 400 – 550 kVA (Standby) and 365 – 500 kVA (Prime) in a 50 Hz model, all powered by the new Cat C15 engine.
The generator set is designed for standby, prime and load management applications, offering the latest in engine design technology to provide emissions compliance without sacrificing power density or fuel economy.
An ADEM A4 controller, MEUI fuel system and cross-flow cylinder head comprise the building blocks of ACERT Technology. The generator set offers an Air-To-Air After Cooler (ATAAC) cooling system, an advanced EMCP 3 control system, multiple control panel and power connection location options, and enhanced package-mounted circuit breaker options.
The self-excited, random-wound generator provides a Class H insulation system. It features IP23 protection, a R448 voltage regulator with load adjustment, and 2/3 pitch stator winding. The single-bearing compact design is close-coupled to the engine, offering a smaller footprint and a wider scope of installation options.
