Portable Insulation Tester

Duncan Instruments Canada Ltd.portable 5000 V insulation tester is designed for heavy duty industrial and field applications. The system features four user-selectable test voltages from 500 to 5000 V and a large TEST switch with hold feature incorporated to make it suitable for testing transformers and motors windings. Automatic discharge of the residual voltage provides additional safety. This unit includes a logarithmic, high contrast analog scale that allows measurements from 500 k Ohm up to 500 G Ohm with 2% accuracy. In addition it is capable of measuring both AC and DC voltages up to 600 V with high input impedance as soon as test leads are applied. This product is installed in a robust, portable plastic insulated case, and an internal battery assures autonomous field operation and lasts over 2000 measurements under normal conditions.
