Modified Class C Fly Ash

Boral MACS-ASH is a modified Class C fly ash conditioned to form a material with minimal dusting characteristics while retaining some of the cementitious reactivity of Class C fly ash. This product results from a process that blends controlled quantities of fly ash. The low dust are accomplished by reducing the fluidity of the Class C fly ash, resulting in a material similar in appearance to a very slightly dampened sandy soil.

The treated form of the ash particles minimizes dusting in applications that require the placement of large quantities of fly ash without dust. This produt can be transported in dump trucks, loaded with a front-end loader and easily handled with standard construction equipment at the project site. It can remain on-site and uncompacted for at least 24 hours and still maintain a four-day compressive strength of approximately 750 psi.
