Insulation Resistance Analyzer

The model Hv5D megohmmeter is an automatic, portable, battery-powered insulation resistance analyzer specifically designed to meet the needs of motor/transformer repair shops, plant maintenance personnel, and utilities. A highly regulated power supply (5mA) allows quick, stable, and accurate measurements to be made on motors, generators, transformers, bushings, and switchgear, up to a total load of 10µF. Readouts of voltage, leakage current, insulation resistance, and capacitance are displayed on a large LCD screen with both digital and analog readouts. The system is also capable of performing polarization index and setpoint (Go/No Go) in an automatic, programmed mode.

Once a test has been selected from the membrane keyboard function keys, the test is run automatically by pressing the TEST button. At the completion of the test cycle, a warning beep will sound and the results will show on the LCD display. All test results can be downloaded through a built-in RS232 port.
