GEN-SE Generalized State Estimation
Source: Power Computer Applications
The GEN-SE estimator incorporates the best and fastest techniques of orthogonal transformation, for maximum robustness.
This package represents the next generation in power system state estimators. It estimates the State, Status (Configuration) and Network Parameters of a power system. The conventional estimation of network "state" (primarily bus voltages) is only a subset of the process of constructing a statistically "best" on-line model of the system, with which to perform monitoring and optimization functions. This estimator was explicitly conceived, designed and developed to generalize the concept of model estimation:
- To perform state, switch status, and parameter estimation calculations, including bad data analysis, more successfully than present estimators.
- To combine accurate modeling of devices and practical engineering requirements with extreme reliability and computation speed.
- To have a long software life-cycle, with maximum flexibility for future advances in the technology.
