EPRI Solutions, Inc. Completes Merger With EPRI PEAC Corporation And Primen, Inc.

New Company's Services to Span Power Generation, Delivery, and End-User Markets

Knoxville, TN — January 5, 2005 — EPRI Solutions, Inc. successfully completed its planned merger today with two other affiliates of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). In this consolidation, three formerly separate companies – EPRIsolutions, Inc., EPRI PEAC Corp., and Primen, Inc. – have merged to form a new company now called EPRI Solutions, Inc.

Michael Howard, Ph.D., previously president and CEO of EPRI PEAC, has been named president and CEO of EPRI Solutions. Mr. Howard stated, "Primen, EPRI PEAC, and EPRIsolutions have each achieved strong leadership positions in their respective markets. This consolidation simplifies and streamlines our business operations and will allow us to offer a more integrated portfolio of engineering and technical services, management consulting, and information products to our energy industry clients."

EPRI Solutions also named four vice presidents to lead the company's business units. Walter Bak, previously vice president, operations, for EPRIsolutions, now heads the Generation & Environment business unit. Arshad Mansoor, Ph.D., formerly vice president, engineering, for EPRI PEAC, manages the new Power Delivery group within EPRI Solutions. Bradley Davids, previously president of Primen, leads EPRI Solutions' corporate marketing group and directs its Market Intelligence business unit, which will continue to offer its products and services under the Primen brand. The company's new chief financial officer and vice president of business operations is Leon Paul, formerly director of business operations for EPRI PEAC.
