The Aclara® TWACS® technology universal meter transponder (UMT) provides the utility with remote, two-way access to usage and voltage data. Available for both residential and commercial customers, the UMT pulls data directly from ANSI C12.19 tables.

Part of the Aclara TWACS technology AMI solution, the UMT ensures accurate meter data at the utility and allows customer service representatives to access meter data in less than 20 seconds.

The UMT supports interval data in 15-, 30-, and 60-minute lengths and maintains a minimum of 35 days of data history.

• Works with TWACS PROASYS® to provide timely dispatch of crews and real-time monitoring of service restoration
• Stores daily reads for seven days and interval data for a minimum of 35 days
• Reduces costs and simplifies upgrades to future product enhancements
• Allows customer service representatives to access meter data in less than 20 seconds
• Installs within the meter and accesses data directly from ANSI C12.19 tables
• Measures line voltage with an accuracy of 1% or better

Residential UMT:

• Transmit fixed- and rolling-block demand as well as forward, reverse, net, and secure consumption data
• Supports collecting two independent channels of interval data
• Enables real-time pricing and direct-access settlement as well as peak-demand and aggregated billing
• Available for the Landis+Gyr FOCUS™ AL, FOCUS AX, and the GE I-210+™ direct sampling, solid-state meters

Commercial UMT:

• Captures data from up to 32 utility-selected meter registers
• Delivers consumption, demand, time-of-use, reactive energy, power factor, Q-hour, apparent power, and voltage readings
• Supports collecting two to four channels of interval data
• Available for the GE kV2c and Elster A3 Alpha® meters and is also compatible with KYZ outputs and inputs as provided by the meters.
