Heber Light & Power delivers 31 MW of power to about 9,000 customers in three northern Utah municipalities, overcoming the challenge of meeting power demands at an elevation of 5,600 feet (1,707 meters). Eight Cat gas generator sets produce 10 MW of power for load management. The Cat gensets balance electrical demand and energy costs through peak load shaving, keeping utility rates stable.
